Valencia CF's support for the Ukrainian population

The VCF Foundation channels collaboration through the Honorary Consulate, Juntos Por La Vida, Farmamundi and the Association of Ukrainians in Valencia

Valencia CF, through the VCF Foundation, have begun to collaborate with different entities in response to the war in Ukraine, to help both the population that has decided to remain in the country, as well as those displaced internally and Ukrainian refugees who have arrived in the Valencia region.

Director General of the VCF Foundation, Teo Swee Wei, welcomed the Honourary Consul of Ukraine in Valencia, Pablo Gil, the Vice President of the Juntos Por La Vida organisation (www.juntosporlavida.org), Jesús Rodríguez, and the President of the Federation of Associations of Ukrainians in Spain and President of the Association of Ukrainians in Valencia, Mykhaylo Petrunyak.

With these three entities and a fourth, Farmamundi, with which the VCF Foundation will soon sign a collaboration agreement, Valencia CF focuses its support on three lines of collaboration: Humanitarian aid, especially medicine; the reception of women and children, thanks to the tireless work of Juntos Por La Vida; and the integration of displaced young people with sports activities run by the VCF Foundation itself.

The representatives of the three entities met at Mestalla this week. According to the professionals involved in the entities, solidarity without control is ineffective and it is best to channel the aid through organisations that can manage it correctly.
